Kaleidoscopically-musical six-piece multigenre band The Monotremes will be finishing up a stretch of gigs with their extremely entertaining, unique live act in one of Melbourne's iconic music venues, with two of Melbourne's favourite live acts, it's gonna be absolutely huge

cTrix is a national treasure of chiptune. A genius in the art of console composition. He writes for and performs with older-generation video-game consoles and wins. His videos featuring himself playing tracks directly out of a customised Atari 2600 - converted into the world's only 'gAtari' (a guitar-shaped console) have received over 500k views on The Youtubes. He is the funnest dude. Anybody who was ever younger than they are now, absolutely/must/required/has to come and see.

From the far North of England, combining the pure and natural source of Billie Holliday, the raw sexual funk of Betty Davis and the sweet sassy genius of Amy Winehouse, Dub Princess has ventured on an odyssey of musical creation and expression for the World. Performing alongside Sneaky Dread's old school roots vibe / slow jam riddims / scatting in time, bolstered by the unmistakable backbone provided by a solid 8 piece band of vibin’ musicians, The Dub Princess band experience is one not to be taken lightly.

The Monotremes combine unpredictable composition, psychedelic orchestration, and consummate musicianship. Descriptions of their sound include 'jazzpunk', 'industrial cartoon' and rather unhelpfully, ‘hdsakglfhjkfs’. They are influenced in nearly equal parts by J.S. Bach, Maurice Ravel, Thelonious Monk, Frank Zappa, Beck, and the gorillaz, and they like to play music for you.
